2019 has been a rough year for me health wise, so I haven’t spent as much time on the blog as usual. If you are still checking in, I appreciate your patience! I am hoping 2020 is a better one for me. In honor of the new year, I thought I would share what I consider my top five purchases of 2019. These are all over the board, but are definitely my faves of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gravity Blanket<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up is my gravity blanket. I have a really hard time falling asleep and staying asleep and have tried a ton of different things to assist. Nothing works like my gravity blanket. Below is the one I bought. I ordered it via amazon so I received it in two days, which at the time was way faster than ordering direct from the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will say my original Gravity Blanket is much better quality than the versions selling in Target and Walmart. It has a heavy duty cover and the weighted beads are separated into sewn in channels so they do not shift. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has a guideline for how heavy a blanket to order via your weight. I have to say that my blanket is much heavier than I expected. It is quite difficult for me to move around when I have it on. I went by their guideline, but if I were going to buy from them again, I would go one level lighter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you can find weighted blankets pretty much everywhere and for a lot less money than the original. I bought a version at Target just to try it out and there’s no comparison quality wise. With that being said, the Target one does work for me too. It doesn’t work as fast and I don’t stay asleep as long, but it does help me fall asleep. It is also about 15 lbs lighter than my original version, so that may be why it doesn’t keep me asleep as long. If you aren’t sure you are going to like the feel of a weighted blanket, I would say go ahead and try one of the cheaper alternatives. If you end up loving it and it works for you, then upgrade to the original name brand version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MZ Wallace Bag<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next up is a new to me brand called MZ Wallace. I saw one of these bags on Sarah Jessica Parker’s instagram and starting looking around for them. I decided on the small Sutton and I love it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was looking for a lighter weight purse for every day and this absolutely fit the bill. It is bizarre how much you can fit into a relatively small bag and it still remain lightweight to carry. I have been carrying it since Fall and love it! Mine is a color block version of a steel gray and black. You can’t go wrong with any of the colors and you can seriously pack a ton of stuff in this bag. I am eyeing up the leopard version as my next purchase for sure!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday Riley Good Genes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve talked about Sunday Riley’s Good Genes many times and I am still raving about it years later. It is absolutely the only wrinkle remedy I swear by. It used to be harder to find but now you can buy it at Amazon, Anthro, Ulta and Sephora. I use it at night even though it is supposed to be a day treatment. I see noticeable differences in wrinkles with it. I just started using it on a dark spot and we’ll see how it works on that issue. Can’t say enough good things about Good Genes! Go buy it if you haven’t tried it yet!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neck and Shoulder Heating Wrap<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve tried a bunch of different heating pads and the one I use over and over again is this neck and shoulder wrap. It has weights in the front part which allows it to stay on your shoulders when you move around. I frequently suffer from neck, shoulder and back pain and this hits all my sore spots at once. Much easier than trying to get a flat heating pad to wrap around you or one of those rice packs you heat in the microwave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hair Skin and Nails Vitamins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve had some hair issues this past year due to a medication I was on. I started taking these gummies on the advice of my hairdresser and they have absolutely helped bring my hair back to life and start growing again. These plus Olaplex are helping my hair situation immensely! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am super picky and not a fan of gummies, so the fact I take two of these every day is a testament to their being very easy to tolerate. Strawberry flavored but I would say it’s more of a general berry taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
