Howdy Friends!\u00a0 My Friday Five is nail polish based this week!<\/p>\n

Those of you who know me in real life, know I love to post Instagram photos of my nail polish choices.\u00a0 I definitely have some favorites out of my extensive nail polish collection.\u00a0 I am not really a nail polish snob,\u00a0but I do tend to stick to Essie or OPI with a little Sally Hansen thrown in for good measure.\u00a0 I\u00a0absolutely refuse to pay $15 or more for\u00a0a polish, no matter how pretty the colors are (I am talking to you Butter!!)\u00a0 I have always enjoyed doing my nails myself.\u00a0 I usually do them on Sunday evening, as part of my “getting ready for the work week” routine.\u00a0 I do however\u00a0usually pay for my pedicures.\u00a0 I just can’t do as good of a job as they can, plus it’s a good time to catch up on trashy magazines.\u00a0 I always end up meeting a new friend when I get my toes done too, so bonus!!<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 My absolute favorite orangey red is OPI’s Cajun Shrimp.\u00a0 It is my go-to for pedicures and I currently have it on my fingers too, due to my recent birthday manicure appointment!\u00a0 I had broken some nails last week and there’s no way I am steady enough to do red on short nails, so I opted to have them cleaned up while getting my toes done.\u00a0 This color looks good on basically everyone.\u00a0 I personally like bright colors on my toes, so 90% of the time, this is what I have on them.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 My favorite pale pink is Essie’s Mademoiselle.\u00a0 It is the perfect pale pink polish!\u00a0 Always work and special occasion appropriate and makes short nails look very elegant.\u00a0 Every time I wear it, tons of people ask me what color it is.\u00a0 One coat tends to look like a French, but I prefer two coats myself.\u00a0 Absolutely love this polish as an everyday!\u00a0 Essie’s Ballet Slippers is also a very nice pale pink.\u00a0 Essie has tons of pale polishes and is actually known for it.\u00a0 Depending on your coloring, you may need to select a different one, but with such a huge selection, you are bound to find one you love!<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Essie’s Chinchilly is my very favorite grey polish!\u00a0 It is a lighter grey, a little edgy, but still\u00a0absolutely ok for work.\u00a0 During the holidays, I like to paint one nail on each hand with a silver glitter polish and Chinchilly on the rest of my hand.\u00a0 Gives it a little glam, but not too much.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Little Brown Dress by Essie is my fave Fall color!\u00a0 It is a rich brown that looks amazing with Fall clothes.\u00a0 I have also used it for a pedicure and it was equally sharp.\u00a0 Again, a polish I get asked about all the time when I have it on.\u00a0 It looks super dark in this photo, but it is way more brown in person.\u00a0 Again, looks great on a lot of different skin colors.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 While this isn’t a color, it is vital to my home manicure.\u00a0 Seche Vite!\u00a0 I swear by this top coat.\u00a0 It makes my polish look super shiny and it definitely speeds up my drying time and protects my nails.\u00a0 It plays a big part in my\u00a0shellac hack\u00a0technique described here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I mainly purchase my nail polishes at Ulta, but they can also be found at Target, online and at various retailers.\u00a0 If you have any problems finding any of these colors, please let me know and I can direct you to some online options.\u00a0 Seche Vite, I always buy at Ulta, but I know you can get it online and I believe at Sally’s.<\/p>\n
